Beach resorts and water sports in outstanding surroundings

From the Cordouan lighthouse to Arcachon bay, 126 km of endless sandy beaches stretch as far as the eye can see. An open space where you are free to choose whatever you want to do from lazing around to surfing in the resort of your choice: Soulac-sur-Mer, Vendays-Montalivet, le Verdon-sur-Mer, Pyla sur Mer, Porge Océan, Lacanau Océan, Hourtin plage, Grayan-et-L'Hôpital, Carcans, Cap-Ferret.

Behind the coastal dune, sheltered by the pine trees, are three large, protected natural lakes : Carcans-Hourtin, the biggest lake in France at 6000 hectares, Lacanau and Cazaux, suitable for family bathing and watersports : windsurfing, catamaraning, motor boating, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, surfing, bodysurfing, surf boat rowing,...

Popular with surfers, the Lacanau-Océan resort hosts one of the major stages of the surfing world championship every year in August, known as the « Lacanau Pro ». The many surfing clubs welcome children from the age of 6 upwards and offer courses for all ages and levels.
